City Kids Experiencing Country Life Initiative

The City Kids Experiencing Country Life Initiative is a new program giving Year 6 students in metropolitan areas the chance to experience rural life and develop an understanding of the historical and contemporary role of regional and rural communities in Victoria.

The four day/three night programs will provide a range of rural experiences to give students the opportunity to discover more about where their food comes from.  They will also experience fun activities at local natural and tourist attractions. The program provides insights into future career opportunities in regional Victoria, and incorporates activities to share with local students and families.

The City Kids Experiencing Country Life initiative is supported through the Victorian Government’s Regional Growth Fund.
